I'm flying to an amateur sporting event tomorrow, although some professionals are allowed to participate in select sports (hockey). It takes place mostly in a large city on the west coast of Canada called "Vancouver", which is Canadian for "city without winter". The events which require snow take place in the mountain, such as Whistler. Whistler is Canadian for "mountain that apparently isn't that snowy in late February and is warmer than the low regions of the Maritimes".
I don't actually have tickets to any of the events (hence forth referred to as 'The Olympics') but figure there might be some cheerful spectators and athletes wandering throughout the area, just enjoying the atmosphere of the city, and perhaps wearing an item of red/white clothing or two.
Yup, it should be fun. One of those "once in a lifetime" experiences that you are bouncy excited for.
